The Position

Applications are invited for a Site Shift Electrician at the Company’s Widnes Site.  This is a full time permanent position, working 4 on 4 off shifts (days and nights) averaging 42 hours per week.

As a Site Shift Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Site Electrical installations and upgrade work around plants.
  • Electrical maintenance of Plant including ppm system.
  • Attending and rectifying electrical breakdowns on Energy and Rendering divisions.
  • Maintenance of lighting systems including emergency lighting.
  • Electrical Maintenance of offices.
  • Training of apprentices.
  • Environmental and general compliance under IPPC regulations and EMS 14001 accreditation.

The Person

  • You must have knowledge of Heavy Industry electrics.
  • Have extensive electrical knowledge / training.
  • Experience of handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Confident demeanor.
  • Be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
  • Experience of plant operations.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels
