Demand for sustainability brings new faces to the Food Industry

PDM has appointed two additional Regional Account Managers to support the rapid expansion of its environmentally sustainable recycling services for the food industry.

Suzanne McDermott and Mark Gullidge join the national team as experienced waste recycling professionals, and will spearhead the growth of PDM’s award winning food waste service for the retail, production and catering sectors.

PDM collects unsold food products from the UK’s major supermarkets and food producers, diverting it from landfill and producing renewable energy for the national grid.

“It’s great to be working for such an innovative and forward thinking company,” says new recruit Mark Gullidge. “Our priority will be to help our clients fully utilize PDM’s services to reduce their carbon footprint and make a positive contribution to the environment.”

Commercial Services Director, Philip Simpson continues to look to the future: “Landfill is no longer an option for any business that takes sustainability seriously.”

“Our services provide a viable, economical and, above all environmentally sound alternative, diverting by-product that would otherwise end up in a hole in the ground”.
