The Position

Applications are invited for a suitably qualified Mechanical Engineer to work at our Doncaster site, working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (10 hour shifts, working days).

As a Mechanical Engineer your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Risk assessing all jobs before work begins.
  • Complete all logs and job sheets as required.
  • All work to be done to a high standard, in a safe and competent way to ensure the safety of all staff. This includes leaving the work area clean and tidy on completion of work.
  • To install and maintain new equipment ensuring production is not interrupted.
  • To maintain all existing equipment ensuring production is not interrupted.
  • To assist in any other duties and ad hoc projects as and when required.

The Person

  • Had a time served apprenticeship or recognised Mechanical Engineering certification/qualification, or equivalent.
  • Previous engineering experience within a process/factory environment - experience with Multi Tubular Steam Boilers is desirable.
  • Ability to Arc, Tig and Mig weld is desirable.
  • Previous experience with water treatment plants.
  • To be able to work on own initiative.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving and produce appropriate solutions to reduce disruption to working processes.
  • Have a calm and methodical approach to work and be able to work under pressure within time constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills.
