The Position

Applications are invited for a HGV Driver – Class C (Fallen Stock Collector Driver) at our Wrexham Site, working flexible hours in line with UK Domestic Rules.    

As a HGV Driver – Class C, the duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company's requirements but will include: 

  • Driving a Company HGV vehicle and operation of vehicle equipment – bin lift, tail lift, tipper body, winch etc.
  • Completing the required work documentation (including Driver Records and Collection Records).
  • Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertaking required vehicle checks.
  • Safe tipping of vehicle.
  • Collecting fallen stock from customer premises and bring back to site.
  • To act as an ambassador on behalf of the Company, ensuring that the clients/customers are treated courteously and respectfully.
  • Consistently meeting Driver performance criteria requirements.
  • Use an electronic PDA in accordance with internal requirements. 

This position comes with the view of being trained to shoot and dispatch live animals at customer premises. No slaughter license/firearm certificates are required, as full training will be provided.

The Person

  • Candidates should hold a full Driving licence – HGV Class C essential.
  • Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner.
  • Have knowledge of vehicle operations.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (EU & UK Domestic).
  • Driver CPC completed.
  • Hold a digital tachograph driver card.
