HGV Driver – Class C / Fallen Stock Collector Driver

The Position

Applications are invited for an HGV Driver – Class C / Fallen Stock Collector Driver at our Wrexham site, working 48 hours per week and in line with UK Domestic Rules. Working an average of 48 hours per week working 5 days from a possible 6, Monday to Saturday. 

As an HGV Driver - Class C, duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include: 

  • Driving a Company HGV vehicle and operation of vehicle equipment, winch etc.
  • Completing the required work documentation (including Driver Records and Collection Records).
  • Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained and clean and undertaking required vehicle checks.
  • Collecting fallen stock from customer premises and bring back to site.
  • To act as an ambassador on behalf of the Company, ensuring that the clients/customers are treated courteously and respectfully.
  • Consistently meeting Driver performance criteria requirements. 

This position comes with the view of being trained to shoot and dispatch live animals at customer premises. No slaughter license/firearm certificates are required, as full training will be provided. 

The Person 

  • Candidates should hold a full Driving licence – HGV class C essential.
  • Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner.
  • Have knowledge of vehicle operations.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (UK Domestic).
  • Full Driver CPC Training and CPC card.
  • Hold a digital tachograph driver card.
