Business:         At the very heart of the country's largest animal oils and fats production facility you'll find Nortech. With continuous 24/7 refining, production and packing processes the company delivers completely flexible and completely separate animal and vegetable based product ranges. 

The Position:    Applications are invited for a suitably qualified Maintenance Electrician to work at our Doncaster site, working an average of 42 hours per week in line with a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (12 hour shifts, days and nights). As a Maintenance Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include: 

  • Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery, including routine electrical maintenance of machinery and programs.
  • Complete site Electrical installations and upgrade work around the plant.
  • Responding to ReFood alarms and any other duties required.
  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines, inclusive of the completion of risk assessments.
  • Tool accountability and ensuring working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job/task. 
  • Completing department daily work record sheets.
  • Assisting other mechanical / operational departments when required. 

The Person 

  • Have a time served apprenticeship or recognised Electrical Engineering certification/qualification, or equivalent.
  • Previous engineering experience within a continuous process / factory environment.
  • Have proven experience with fault finding.
  • Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
  • You must be able to work using your own initiative and must be a motivated individual.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving and produce appropriate solutions to reduce disruption to working processes.
  • Have a calm and methodical approach to work and be able to work under pressure within time constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
