Maintenance Electrician and Fitters

The Positions:
Applications are invited for a suitably qualified Maintenance Electrician and for X2 Shift Fitters to work at our Doncaster site, working an average of 42 hours per week (12 hours shifts, working days and nights). Applications are also invited for a Maintenance Fitter at the Doncaster Site, working 45 hours per week (days) Monday to Friday. 

Maintenance Electrician

As an Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include: 

  • Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery, including routine electrical maintenance of machinery and programs.
  • Complete site Electrical installations and upgrade work around the plant.
  • Responding to ReFood alarms and any other duties required.
  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines, inclusive of the completion of risk assessments.
  • Tool accountability and ensuring working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job/task.
  • Completing department daily work record sheets. 
  • Assisting other mechanical / operational departments when required. 

X2 Shift Fitters and a Day Fitter

As a Fitter your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include: 

  • Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery, completing risk assessments before undertaking any work/tasks.
  • To install and maintain new and existing equipment, in accordance with the planned preventative maintenance systems (PPM), to minimise plant downtime, and ensure that the plant operates to the standards laid down in the appropriate legislation.
  • Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
  • Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job / task.
  • Working under Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Assisting other mechanical / operational departments when required. 

The Person 

  • You must have served a recognised Electrical/Mechanical Apprenticeship (whichever is relevant to the role).
  • Have extensive Electrical/Mechanical experience working in a continuous process environment.
  • Have proven experience with fault finding.
  • Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
  • You must be able to work using your own initiative and must be a motivated individual.
  • Be able to work on your own and as part of a team, able to communicate well at all levels.
