The Position

Applications are invited for a Transport Planner to work at our well-established and busy Fallen Stock site based in Cornwall. This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week. 

As a Transport Planner, your duties and responsibilities will vary on the Company’s requirements but will include: 

  • Planning daily workload for vehicles based at the Cornwall site.
  • Effective planning and utilisation of drivers and vehicles all collections.
  • Effective route planning using Google Maps and other routing aids.
  • Dealing with queries by telephone and email from customers, employees and colleagues.
  • Dealing with driver hours ensuring they are compliant.
  • Planning fleet services and MOT's in accordance to the O licence requirements.
  • Monitoring fuel levels on site.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required by the Management Team. 

The Person 

  • Good working knowledge of the transport industry.
  • Previous experience within a similar planning role.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and efficient.
  • Be able to work well individually and within a team.
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Have good geographical knowledge.
  • Willingness to be flexible in approach to work.
