Sustainability Report 2025
SARIA’s Sustainability Report 2025 is now available, outlining sustainability performance and the key developments across the Group in the past reporting year.
Strengthening sustainability management
Despite last year’s uncertainty surrounding the CSRD timeline, SARIA further strengthened its sustainability management approach. A major milestone was the EcoVadis Gold Medal, awarded for the second consecutive year with an improved score. In addition, SARIA introduced its first Group Environmental Policy, establishing a consistent environmental framework across all divisions and locations.
Advancing climate transparency
Climate transparency remained a key focus. In 2025, SARIA launched a Group‑wide project to quantify Scope 3 emissions in line with ESRS requirements and the GHG Protocol. The project was successfully completed in the first quarter of 2026, marking an important step toward a more comprehensive emissions baseline.
At divisional level, Ingredients & Energy defined targets for reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions through the Drive Carbon Down initiative, while Food & Pharma reduced its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by approximately 10 %.
Progress in circular‑economy projects
SARIA continued to advance circular‑economy growth projects in 2025. The SAF project in Grandpuits, France, developed jointly with TotalEnergies, entered the construction phase, with production planned for Q4 2026 and a targeted annual capacity of 230,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel.
People, health & safety, and responsible business
People development, health and safety, and responsible business practices remained central to SARIA’s management approach. During the reporting year, HR structures and safety initiatives were further strengthened, while activities related to human rights, sustainable procurement, compliance, and governance continued to be expanded.
