PDM Group donates additional £10,000 to local sports project
De Mulder & Sons Limited (PDM Group) has donated a further £10,000 to Hartshill Parish Council for the development of a sports pavilion. The latest donation comes after initial project costs escalated following changes to building regulations and takes the total funding provided by the company to over £80,000.
The newly constructed Snow Hill Sports Pavilion which is due to be officially opened in February 2013 includes changing rooms and catering facilities, as well as a social room. It is an essential development that will enable the Hartshill Saturday Football team who train there to host home matches as it pursues promotion to the Coventry Alliance Premier League. It will also be used by the Sunday team.
In addition, the improved facility will also be used by community groups.
John Randle, Chairman of Hartshill Parish Council said: “We’re grateful to PDM and all the other businesses that have made such generous donations to help us build the sports pavilion.”
Liz Taberer, Environmental Manager at PDM, added: “As a local employer, we were keen to support the Snow Hill project for the benefit of the village and the local community.”
Liz Taberer from PDM Group presents the cheque to Hughie Renshaw (Chairman of Hartshill Sports Club), John Ward (President of Hartshill Sports Club) and John Randle (Chairman of Hartshill Parish Council).
